Remembering Gaura Purnima Rathayatra in Mayapur By Tusti Mohan Krsna das Posted April 11, 2003 Dear Devotees Dandavats. As part of the festivities that we have in Sri Mayapur dham for this very auspicious occasion of Sri Gaura Purnima festival 2003, today morning (17-3-03) we had a very ecstatic Rathayatra festival. It was great to see the mood of the devotees during this transcendental event, made famous all over the world by His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada. Thousands of devotees and pilgrims gathered in the courtyard of Sri Mayapur Chandrodaya Mandir to start the procession of four chariots (three for Sri Sri Sri Jagannath, Baladeva and Subhadra and one for Sri Sri Gaur Nitai). Remembering Gaura Purnima Gaura Purnima Day From Tusti Mohan Krsna das Posted April 7, 2003 Dear Devotees, Dandavat Pranams. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada. Today, 18-3-2003, on this most auspicious occasion of Sri Gaurpurnima (The appearance of the Golden Avatar Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu) we would like to share some nectar and pics about our activities in Sri Mayapur Dham. Thousands of devotees attended this important festival and the halls of our temple are fully packed with devotees from many countries and thousands of pilgrims from West Bengal. And especially most of them came to see the new outfits of Their Lordships as is tradition. Sri Sri Radha Madhava Astasakhis in Mayapur are considered among the most beautiful in the world as well among the best decorated. The dresses that on every occasion the Deities wear is part of common comments and attraction for all the devotees. Remembering Gaura Purnima Shantipur Festival By Tusti Mohan Krsna das Posted April 5, 2003 Dear Devotees, Dandavat pranams. Today (15-3-03), we celebrated the very blissful festival in Shantipur where the Supreme Lord Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu visited the house of Sri Adwaita Acarya, took prasadam with the devotees, and blessed all those who come and take prasadam at that place with Krsna prema. Every year for the last 12 years, ISKCON has organized a program to feed more than 40.000 pilgrims. The organization and coordination of this program is under Their Holinesses Jayapataka Swami and Kavicandra Swami. Hundreds of devotees went in many buses to the holy site in Shantipur to distribute prasada as well to chant the mahamantra constantly while pilgrims took the nectarean kitchri. They are very fortunate to have this mercy of the Lord in getting meals for the body and meals for the soul through the chanting of the mahamantra. Remembering Gaura Purnima A Festival at Hari-Hara By Vijaya (das) HDG Posted April 2, 2003
Hare Krsna Prabhus, We're in the middle of the Mayapur Festival in Sridham Mayapur. Today is the third day of the Navadvipa Mandala Parikrama, and there are two parties going separately (walking an average of five miles a day) to many of the different holy places commemorating the pastimes of Gaura Nitai. About three thousand devotees accompanied by eleven sannyasis are taking part in this most ecstatic event. On the second day, after Jayapataka Swami spoke about the Deity of Hari-Hara, a Deity that is half Siva and half Visnu, he asked if anyone in the crowd (of about a thousand devotees) would like to volunteer to do a five-minute skit about the pastimes of Lord Caitanya. He needed seven people. After no one came forward, I mentioned that there were seven sannyasis on the stage, and maybe they could do it.
Sri Ganga
