New Zealand Videos
From Prananatha das (BSDS)

Posted May 17, 2004

Dear Devotees,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

It came to my attention after posting the article about the Grand Opening of the Auckland temple, that many devotees do not know me or what I do as a profession and may have questioned why I was offering this video for sale. Some comments were to the effect that, Why don't I just put it on the web for free so all the devotees can enjoy it? Sounds good, but not very practical.

One devotee commented that it sounded as though I just turned up at the opening with my video camera, filmed the event and put it on tape/DVD. The fact is that I've been filming and editing for 30 years (20 years in ISKCON) and for the last four years have been employed teaching students computer-based video editing at a college here in New Zealand.

Many More Memories
Posted May 16, 2004

Illumination Television is proud to announce three more Memories of Srila Prabhupada videos now available on VHS or DVD! Part 38 features Jashomatinanda das, Rukmini dasi, and Tranakarta das. With the widespread interest in the recent movie The Passion, here are a few quotes from Part 38 where Srila Prabhupada mentions Jesus:

Jashomatinandan: I said, "Prabhupada, you say Jesus Christ is a pure devotee, but he never mentioned the name of Krishna and he never chanted Hare Krishna, so how can we say he is a pure devotee?" Prabhupada said, "Because he was free from material desires, therefore, he is a pure devotee."

TKG's Lotus Footprints
From Pandava Vijaya dasa
Posted May 8, 2004

Haribol. Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

I took his prints in 1981. These are the only footprints of Tamal Krishna Goswami ever made. I have made copies of his lotus feet for Vyasa puja. They are like the Srila Prabhupada feet in the temple— made of brown clay. They used "my" prints on the samadhis, as apparently they are the only ones in the material world.

Srila Prabhupada DVDs in Your Language
From Nrsimhananda dasa
Posted April 1, 2004

Dear Prabhus,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

We sold out! Yes, we’ve completely exhausted the first replication of 1000 sets of the Srila Prabhupada DVD Library. Demand has been outstripping supply. We are ecstatic— except that we are out of sets. However, we are temporarily remedying that problem by having another 500 sets produced from the original glass masters. So you can still put in your order with no problem. But our next replication is aimed at an even wider audience.

This is your final notice of opportunity. ITV will be making another replication of the Srila Prabhupada DVD Library in about 120 days. That means that you have the possibility of submitting translations within the next 90 days to have them included in the new edition. We estimate that there won’t be another replication for at least two years or more.

What's Inside the March/April Issue of BTG
Posted March 24, 2004

In our last issue, we ran the story of a group of Hare Krishna youths touring North America by bus. This time we present a Hare Krishna couple traversing America at a much slower pace—on a horse-drawn wagon. So far they’ve covered twelve hundred miles on their way to Mexico and beyond, giving out the teachings of Lord Krishna in hundreds of towns along the way.

Thanks and appreciation from dipika.org to our sponsor and host,

On the other side of the world, Adbhuta Hari Dasa reports on a place where Krishna spoke His teachings fifty centuries ago just before leaving this world. In "The Song Goes Ever On," Satyaraja Dasa gives us a summary of those teachings and tells us about Uddhava, the intimate devotee to whom Lord Krishna spoke them.

Hare Krishna. Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I am very excited to tell you about a recently released CD by some family friends of ours. The title is Gopinatha, and it is by Seva Radhika Devi Dasi, who lives in Queens, New York. It is a short CD and therefore very inexpensive, featuring a beautifully unique rendition of Gopinath and a Hare Krishna Kirtan.

Seva Radhika was born of initiated parents from Trinidad, named Shyama Devi Dasi and Krishna Smaranam Dasa, on August 24, 1984. She was recognized as having a good singing voice at a very young age.
