Ludhiana Ratha-Yatra

Bhagavan Jagannatha Ratha-yatra (Festival of the Chariots) will be held in Ludhiana, India, on October 15, 2005. The parade will start at 3 P.M. (IST) from Durga Mata Mandir and will end at Raghunath Temple. The entire parade route will be decorated with lights, flowers, etc., and prasadam stalls will be set up along the route. Firecrackers will be set off at the end.

Nearly four lakhs of people (400,000) from India and abroad are expected to join this grand festival. There will be 21 days of morning door-to-door nagara sankirtan starting from September 25 to invite the local residents.
