Ludhiana Ratha-Yatra

Bhagavan Jagannatha Ratha-yatra (Festival of the Chariots) will be held in Ludhiana, India, on October 15, 2005. The parade will start at 3 P.M. (IST) from Durga Mata Mandir and will end at Raghunath Temple. The entire parade route will be decorated with lights, flowers, etc., and prasadam stalls will be set up along the route. Firecrackers will be set off at the end.

Nearly four lakhs of people (400,000) from India and abroad are expected to join this grand festival. There will be 21 days of morning door-to-door nagara sankirtan starting from September 25 to invite the local residents.

This is an open invitation to all devotees to join this grand festival. If you would like to come, please let us know so that lodging and meals may be arranged in advance. Please come along with your family and friends and enjoy a free vegetarian feast and devotional music, plays, and dances.
