I Called FEMAFrom Bhadra Jagannath dasPosted Sept 1, 2005
To the residents of New Talavana Dham, Per your request, I called FEMA today at about 1:00 pm your time. I shared with them your needs and also the important services you are providing to the community at large. They took all the information and told me they will be looking into it as well as passing it along to the Red Cross. I am relieved to hear that everyone made it through the storm so well. We were also very relieved that the Deities made it through so well and are still being cared for in this time of stress and upheaval. How did Tulasi Devi fare? Our prayers and thoughts are with you all. We escaped at the last minute and are in Columbia, South Carolina. Those who have cell phones can call us at 601-273-2303 or directly connect to me at 194*134933*1 if they have Nextel. It seems that right now Nextel is the only phone working around New Orleans as I have spoken to several of my law-enforcement buddies and they have kept up abreast of how bad it really is. Again, if you need anything, let us know. Your servants, © dipika.org Sept 1, 2005 |
