Sweet, Sweeter, Sweetest
Dear Dravida Prabhu,
Please accept my respectful obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to your grace.
We were very happy to read your poem "The King Of Sweet." We have posted this wonderful poem to some friends over e-mail. Thank you very much for this sweet poem, which brings everyone closer to the Supreme Sweet, Lord Krishna.
Although on the absolute platform there is no difference in the sweetness of Krishna's body, Krishna's face, Krishna's smile, and so on, a great poet has expressed some relative differences also. How wonderful are all the devotees of the Lord who are great kavis!
I draw the attention of all kavis (devotees) to this wonderful poem by Bilvamangala Thakura (Krishna Karnamrita)
madhuram madhuram vadanam madhuram
madhu-gandhi mrdu-smitam etad aho
madhuram madhuram madhuram madhuram
If we take "madhuram" as a unit of sweetness, then the poet says that the body of Krishna is "madhuram madhuram," or two madhurams; His face is "madhuram madhuram madhuram," or three madhurams; and His smile is "Aho! madhuram madhuram madhuram madhuram," or four madhurams.
Srila Prabhupada's sweet translation in Caitanya Caritamrita Madhya Lila 23.35 and 21.136 is thus :
"O my Lord, the transcendental body of Krishna is very sweet, and His face is even sweeter than His body. But His soft smile, which has the fragrance of honey, is sweeter still."

I pray that everybody may sweeten his life by reading all these sweet poems about our sweetest Lord Krishna.
Hare Krishna.
Your aspiring-to-be-sweet servant,
