Dear Devotees

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Guru Maharaj! All glories to Srila Prabhupada! Jai Panchatattva! Jai Gaur Nitai! Jai Krishna Balarama! Jai Radha Madhava!

It gives me immense pleasure to inform all of you about the installation ceremony of Sri Sri Gaur Nitai on the auspicious occasion of Balaram Jayanti. The Deities were installed in Apapa, Lagos, Nigeria.

The ceremony was marked with much fanfare, and many devotees from Nigeria, Benin, Togo, and Ghana attended. The event was successful thanks to the efforts of many devotees, who cannot all be named in this limited space, but special mention may be made of Bali Prabhu, Ganga Prabhu, Srivas Prabhu, Varaha Prabhu, Salika Prabhu, Canakya Prabhu, Sarvabhauma Prabhu, and all the temple presidents of the Nigerian and other temples.

Many devotees worked behind the scenes to make the event successful and joyous. It is because of my limited capabilities that I am not able to name and glorify all of them adequately. I beg them to forgive my offenses.

HH Kavicandra Maharaj was personally present to guide all of us and enthuse us in our tottering attempts in devotional life.

The yajna, abhisheka, and maha kirtan were attended by people from all over. Indians and Nigerians danced joyously side by side in a spirit of brotherhood and love. Their Lordships gracefully accepted our imperfect offerings to them, and by Their potency everyone was joyous.

I am attaching pictures of the installation ceremony. I am quite incapable of expressing the beauty and joy of the event as experienced by devotees. Please forgive my inabilities and bless us so that this humble attempt to serve Lord Caitanya in Nigeria may flourish.
