2004 National Rainbow Gathering From Garuda dasa Posted May 24, 2004 A Great Chance for Sharing Mercy! The 2004 National Rainbow Gathering: June 20 to July 4. In the heart of the hippie movement, the Hare Krishna Mantra will resound forever. The hippie movement is alive and bustling greatly at the National Rainbow Gathering. This is the grand opportunity for anyone who wants to kindly share Krishna consciousness with many seeking souls. I personally find that it I do more sharing in these two weeks than I do in the rest of the year. Up to 30,000 hippies camp out in the national forest (different place each year), set up hundreds of vegetarian kitchens in the woods, and chant Om in big circles, as in prayers for world peace. This will be my 14th year of sharing at the Rainbow Nationals, and I'll have my usual vibrant camp set up, called Krishna Tribe. Please come and join us at the Krishna Tribe camp or set up on your own.
Donations are accepted and will go for bhoga, gas, and books. One of the rules at the Rainbow is that there may be no exchange of money. Books and beads have to be carefully given away to those who will use them, but still we always run out before the end of the gathering.
