Internet Preaching Attracts 10,000 by Amarendar Nagavarapu Posted April 19, 2004 Sankarshan Das Adhikari has broken new ground in the field of spreading Krishna consciousness. In January of 2003 he started an e-course called "The Ultimate Self-Realization Course" for teaching the science of Krishna bhakti via the Internet. He had previously put up a web page in an attempt to sell Bhagavad-gita but had gotten no result. He then reasoned that if he could first win people's trust by giving them something of value for free, he could then interest them in studying Srila Prabhupada's books. He never dreamed that within less than 16 months he would have over ten thousand people from all over the world signed up for his Krishna consciousness e-course. To keep up with the workload he has been forced to make this his full-time service, and he is taking this intense responsibility as the greatest of blessings. His every day is filled with writing lessons, daily meditations, and answering queries coming in from all over the world. And via his laptop computer, he is able to maintain his busy writing schedule even when he is traveling globally to meet and personally guide his students.
One of his students, a manager at Dell Computers, asked him where he gets the energy to do all this. He replied that his inspiration is coming from the wonderful reciprocation he is having with his students. Sankarshan Prabhu is constantly awed by the wonderful sincerity of so many spiritual seekers throughout the world who are intensely searching for genuine knowledge, loving concern, and spiritual shelter. While a vast majority of the enrollees are signing up out of curiosity, many of the students have had their lives transformed by the course and are preparing themselves for a life of bhakti as initiated devotees.
