ISKCON Comes to Edison, New Jersey

Dear Devotees and Friends,

Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

We are pleased to inform you that by the mercy of the Vaishnavas, the inauguration of ISKCON of Central New Jersey on Sunday, 28th March 2004, was a big success.

The Sunday feast program was held at a rented hall, and nearly 250 devotees attended. The maximum capacity  of the rented hall was 150 people, so some inconvenience was faced, but the program went very well. HH Romapada Swami gave a nice presentation on Sri Pancha Tattva's installation and Their boundless mercy flowing throughout ISKCON. The start of the preaching effort is also Their causeless mercy.

The kirtans were led by HG Raghunandan Prabhu. The Pandava Sena youth group from Towaco presented a wonderful drama— The Appearance of Lord Jagannatha— directed by HH Bhakti Marg Swami. There was also a small Bharat Natyam presentation by Surabhi Agiwal, which was followed by the Sunday feast.

Overall, the devotees from Edison and Towaco and the members of the new congregation thoroughly enjoyed the inauguration ceremony. Our thanks to all the volunteers, who made this event a grand success. We are expecting to run this program every Sunday, in the same hall for the time being. Later, we may change to a bigger hall, and we hope that by the blessings of the Vaishnavas we will eventually have a center in this area.

Also, a humble request to all senior Vaishnavas: If you are in the area, please let us know your availability for the program and Sunday Feast lecture.
