Holy Salagram Silas Posted February 16, 2004 I wish to thank Bhakti Visrambha Madhava Swami for answering my question about the vast amount of holy Salagram Silas. When I visited the Karuna Bhavana temple in Scotland I was amazed to see over 12,000 Salagram Silas. I sat looking at the Salagram Silas and went into a sort of trance for about an hour, just gazing at them because I felt that they were special. Then I thought that if They were to be treated as you would treat Deities, They should be kept separate. I felt that each one has a kind of spiritual aura so They might be better kept separate than in one large container. It seemed to me that They needed space and air, and I later consulted other devotees who also felt that they should be kept separate. Maybe some could be distributed to other temples so that other devotees can get the mercy too. However my question has now been answered. After the experience of watching the holy Salagram Silas I felt as if my sinful karma from my previous 12,000 lives had been destroyed, and I feel now lighter and enlightened. It was quite an experience to see the phenomenal amount of Salagram Silas, and I can focus on Them in my mind and meditate on Them, as they have registered in my mind for the rest of my life. I highly recommend that other devotees pay a visit to the Scotland temple and take darshan of the holy Salagram Silas at least once in a lifetime to get a boost in their going back to Godhead plan, as this will be a big plus. Devotees from the Scotland temple told me that an eight-mile miles radius around the temple is considered holy, and anyone who leaves his or her body within this zone goes to Vaikuntha. Also, in the middle on the outside of the container of 12,000 holy Salagram Silas is placed the holy Tulasi Salagram Sila, and this Sila is of a large size. Devotees from the temple told me that this Sila came into their hands when they were at Kali-Gandaki River but they put the Sila back into the river because of the large size. They thought this would pose a problem with the customs inspector if they took the Sila out of the country. But the holy Tulasi Salagram Sila came back to them a second time. To take darshan of over 12,000 holy Salagram Silas is an unforgettable experience and puts the Karuna Bhavana temple in Scotland on the list of holy places to visit on this planet.
