Bhubaneshwar
Prabhu Update From Hari-sauri dasa Posted July 31, 2003
Bhubaneshwar prabhu had a successful three-hour operation on his right hip on Sunday 27 August in the morning. Dr. Ravi Kant, an orthopedic surgeon who has performed over 1,000 successful operations, inserted a metal plate in his hip to join the broken bones. Bhubaneshwar was listening to tapes of Srila Prabhupada singing throughout the operation (local anesthetic was used) and even induced the doctor to chant Hare Krishna as he was performing the operation. He will remain in hospital for about four days, and if there are no complications, he will move back to Krsna Balarama Mandir, where he is expected to make a full recovery. The doctor expects it will be about two weeks before he can begin walking again with the aid of crutches. Bhubaneshwar prabhu sends his humble thanks to all those who have sent their good wishes and prayers. Your humble servant, © dipika.org July 31, 2003 |
