Homage to Srila Tamal Krishna Goswami Maharaja By Sankarshan Das Adhikari Posted June 21, 2003 June 17, 2003 My Dear Tamal Krishna Goswami Maharaja, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Coming to ISKCON Houston (Hare Krishna Dham) yesterday, I felt as though I had entered Vrindavan after Lord Krishna had left for Mathura. I was feeling this way because I have so many wonderful memories of associating with you here. But now, from the external point of view, you are not here. I am finding your apparent absence to be intolerable. Therefore I am forced to go within my heart, where I can find you as radiant, as resplendent, and as powerful as ever, blessing me and encouraging me in my service to Srila Prabhupada. I live in my memories of you, Goswami Maharaja. You are my big brother, pushing me, chastising me, and inspiring me to try as much as I can to spread this Krishna consciousness movement before I leave my body and rejoin you and Srila Prabhupada, wherever he is taking you in his nitya sankirtan lila. Goswami Maharaja, you have always been a sublime shelter for me, ever since those days when you made me your corresponding secretary. I was writing on your behalf to inspire those who were seeking your shelter to fully surrender unto you. Now Krishna has blessed me with my own disciples, and I am striving to give them the same caliber of tender loving care that I saw you give to your disciples. In the divine presence of your well-wishing Godbrothers and Godsisters and your most wonderful disciples, I am feeling myself to be swimming in an ocean of bliss. We are all packed up tightly at the lotus feet of Srila Prabhupada. I humbly bow down at your lotus feet and their lotus feet and take your dust and their dust upon my head. It is you, Goswami Maharaja, who get the credit for being one of the most powerful manifestations of Srila Prabhupada's mercy ever to set foot on this planet. Please bless me that I will never forget your kindness. Your humble little brother and servant, Sankarshan Das Adhikari © dipika.org June 21, 2003 |
