Dear Devotees,

Dandavat Pranams. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada. All Glories to Mother Ganga.

In Mayapur today, 16-3-03, we celebrated the auspicious occasion of Sri Ganga Puja.

As is traditional, hundreds of devotees in general (with senior disciples of Prabhupada) go to the Ganges in a special procession to bathe His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada and to worship Mother Ganga Devi.

It is a very auspicious occasion for bringing the ashes of devotees and ashes of relatives of devotees to perform the traditional rituals and mantra chanting for their immersion into the Holy River. The rituals are called Tarpana and Pinda and are performed by expert Brahmanas. On this occasion there were ashes of almost 20 persons.

We are enclosing pictures of this occasion, and you can follow the Mayapur festival by visiting www.mayapur.info.

Your servant,
Tusti Mohan Krsna das
