Sanskrit Dictionary Freeware From Jayadvaita Swami Posted December 25, 2002
If you are using the digital version of the Monier-Williams Sanskrit dictionary, you should make sure you have the latest version. Bootlegged Beta versions of this BBT software were widely sold and distributed. The Beta versions are inferior to the final product, some of them vastly so. The final version, released early this year, is freeware. You should be able to get a copy from your local BBT. How can you tell if you have the proper version? When you start it, you should see an elaborate title page that says on the bottom (above the copyright notices): Searchable Digital Facsimile Edition The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust Founder-Acarya: His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada www.krishna.com If that's not what you see, you've got a Beta. Again, the proper version is freeware. It is available from the BBT, or from anyone who has it and is willing to make you a free copy. Hare Krsna. dipika.org December 25, 2002 |
